Former Chelsea Player Found Dead in Turkey Rubble
Christian Atsu, a forward for Turkish club Hatayspor and the Ghana national team, has been discovered dead under the rubble of the devastating earthquakes that struck Turkey. His death was announced on Twitter by his agent, Murat Uzunmehmed.
The 31-year-old footballer had been missing for almost two weeks, having been trapped in the debris since February 6, when a series of powerful tremors devastated the region.
During his career, Atsu also played for English clubs Chelsea, Everton, Newcastle, and Bournemouth, as well as for Portuguese side Porto and Spanish club Malaga.
