Changes in the Support Program Related to the Birth of Children

As part of the support program providing 50,000 drams for the birth of third and subsequent children, parents can now change the bank that pays the support by personally applying to any territorial center of the Unified Social Service. If the parent is employed, the application can also be submitted online.

With the changes made, it is now possible to designate and pay the cash support to one parent and then continue the support for the other parent after the first has received the payment. This is possible when the parent (to whom the support has been assigned and paid) has submitted a notarized statement of renunciation of their right to receive the support.

In this case, if the other parent applies in writing, the right to receive cash support will be restored within 6 months, and the payment will resume from the day the right to receive the support was terminated. If an application is made after this period, payments will begin from the 1st of the month following the application date.
