«Who you considered an enemy and threatened, came to help»: Turkish opposition politician on the hand extended by Armenians

Selahattin Demirtaş, the former co-chair of Turkey's opposition People's Democratic Party (HDP), which has a pro-Kurdish stance, and currently imprisoned, made a statement on Twitter regarding the countries that came to Turkey's aid after the earthquake.

He quoted Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan's well-known threat to other countries that "we might suddenly come one night." Demirtaş pointed out to the Turkish authorities that "those you regarded as enemies and threatened, unexpectedly came to help one morning."

“As we continue to heal our wounds together, thank you to all our friends in all the languages of the world,” emphasized the opposition figure, expressing gratitude in various languages, including Armenian.
