VIDEO: "Entering a tunnel feels like being at the last stage of a bathroom renovation," says the Prime Minister on roads and infrastructure

In today's cabinet meeting, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan made several observations regarding road construction. He mentioned that he recently traveled along the Talin-Lanjik section of the North-South highway and noted, for the first time, that a road of new standards has been achieved.

"I said that if there are no potholes appearing on that road in a year, we can state that we have achieved a road of absolutely new quality," Pashinyan said.

Pashinyan highlighted that there are construction companies that particularly stand out for their quality, shaping the work environment. "There are times when I write or call the minister during the process, asking who made this road... While discussing, I might hear the names of construction companies that I don't know personally, but I like them from a distance because they truly change the atmosphere. You see that the road is built to the highest standards; that is primarily a sign of respect for the citizens of Armenia," Pashinyan stated.

He emphasized that there has never been a road of such quality and standards in Armenia.

Speaking about the conditions in the tunnels, the Prime Minister noted that the Tsovagyugh tunnel has been slightly illuminated lately, but overall appearance resembles the Middle Ages. "We have agreed that the tunnels in Stepanavan, Tsovagyugh, and Spitak should be brought to the most modern appearance, so that entering a tunnel feels like you're stepping into another world, as Tumanyan said, whereas for us, it feels like being at the last stage of a bathroom renovation," Pashinyan remarked.
