Stoltenberg to Leave NATO Secretary General Position

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who has been in office for nearly nine consecutive years since 2014, does not intend to extend his mandate, as reported by Le Figaro, citing the organization's spokesperson Oana Lungescu.

“The Secretary General’s mandate has been extended three times, and he has served for almost a total of nine years,” said the spokesperson. “Stoltenberg has no intention of requesting a new extension of his mandate,” she added.
