Russia Wants to Change Power in Moldova: Maya Sandu
Russia wants to change the power structure in the Republic of Moldova and install its protégés in Chisinau. This was stated by the President of Moldova, Maya Sandu.
During a press briefing held on Monday in Chisinau, she shared details about a plan to destabilize the country, which, according to her, was developed in Russia.
According to Sandu, the plan involved Russian supporters launching attacks on state institutions under the guise of protests by opposition forces and taking hostages.
It is believed that those involved in these actions could include "militarily trained saboteurs" dressed in civilian clothing, possibly including individuals from abroad such as Russia, Belarus, Serbia, and Montenegro.
Sandu also insists that certain forces in Moldova, including supporters of opposition politicians and businessmen Ilan Shor and Vlad Plahotniuc, who are currently abroad, may assist Russia in achieving its objectives.
