The Situation is Catastrophic: Assad on the Earthquake in Syria
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has described the situation following the earthquake as catastrophic. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
"The situation in Syria after the powerful earthquake, which also struck Turkey, is catastrophic," Assad noted.
As of Friday morning, more than 21,000 people had died as a result of the devastating earthquake in Syria and Turkey.
