Photos: Syria's St. Anna Armenian Church Damaged by Earthquake
A powerful earthquake that occurred in Turkey has caused damage to the St. Anna Armenian Church in the village of Yakubiye, Syria. This was reported by the "Gandzasar" weekly newspaper on its Facebook page.
It is noted that His Holiness Aram I, the Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia, has expressed sorrow over the devastation in the village, including the damage to St. Anna Armenian Church.
“St. Anna, being a historical church, has become a pilgrimage site for our people,” the statement mentions.
