VIDEO: Why Were the Turks Not as Humanitarian Towards Us? Journalists Question MPs

Today in the National Assembly, journalists asked a member of the ruling party why the Turks were not as humanitarian towards Armenians and how justified it is to send a rescue team to Turkey.

MPs largely avoided answering this question and hurried out of the session hall. In response to a journalist's inquiry about the justification of Armenia sending rescuers to Turkey to assist with search and rescue operations in earthquake-affected areas, Hovik Agazaryan replied that he would even feel uncomfortable answering that question.

After a follow-up remark about whether he felt uncomfortable that his government was sending people to help the Turks, Agazaryan became agitated. “Shut your mouth, let me speak! In wartime, when the enemy is captured by you and is wounded, you are obliged to treat them. We are in a state of war,” he said.
