Turkey Has Declined Cyprus's Aid

Turkey has declined to accept the assistance of rescuers from the Republic of Cyprus. This was announced by the Director General of the Cypriot Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kornilios Korniliou.

“The Republic of Cyprus has expressed its willingness to participate in rescue operations following the devastating earthquake in Turkey, but the Turkish side has not accepted this aid,” he stated.

It is important to note that the Republic of Armenia has sent 29 rescuers to Syria and 27 to Turkey. They will assist in search and rescue operations in areas affected by the earthquake.

Recall that on February 6, at 05:17, an earthquake occurred in Turkey's Kahramanmaraş province, causing destruction in several cities. Two more strong earthquakes were recorded at 14:24 and 14:36, Yerevan time. The intensity of the underground shocks in the epicentral zone reached 10-11 points.

The death toll from the earthquake in Turkey has already surpassed 6,957 and continues to rise.
