Another Armenian Killed in Turkey Due to Earthquake: Ara Gochunyan
Another Armenian has been reported dead in Turkey due to the earthquake, marking the fourth Armenian casualty. He is from the city of Iskenderun, but his identity has not yet been disclosed. This information was reported by News.am.
“Yesterday, during a meeting at the patriarchate, it was communicated that there is one victim from the Armenian community in Iskenderun, while there is no information about others who may be trapped under the rubble,” said Ara Gochunyan.
According to Gochunyan, the Armenian community is providing assistance to the victims. “Aftershocks have left people in Armenian-populated areas unable to return to their homes at this time. They are gathering in the village square and living there. The Armenian community is currently addressing the needs of these people,” Gochunyan noted.
It is important to mention that the number of casualties in Turkey has reached 8,574.
