Abrahamyan on Closed Meeting with the Minister of Defense
Member of the National Assembly from the 'Honorary Duty' faction, Tigran Abrahamyan, writes: "During the closed meeting held in the National Assembly, the Minister of Defense spoke for only 50 minutes, while our colleague Gegham Manukyan presented situational studies and assessments in his report.
The Minister of Defense's remarks can be divided into two parts: current updates and a performance report, as well as a vision (program) for solving various issues.
The report has been accepted for consideration; I personally see that there is an extremely large amount of work to be done, and what has been reported is insufficient for ensuring the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
As for the vision of the Armed Forces' recovery and transformation, I see serious issues regarding the majority of the programs presented and circulating in the Ministry of Defense; some of these problems I have presented during the meeting.
PS: After the meeting, the statements from the Civil Contract party indicated that the closed meeting was purely of propaganda significance for them; either they did not understand the content or it simply wasn't interesting to them."
