VIDEO: Those Who Transferred 71 Military Units Launch Case Against Ohanyan for Transferring 1 Unit
Gegham Manukyan, a member of the "Armenia" parliamentary faction, presented a document signed by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to reporters today. "In 2022, on April 15: a document signed by Nikol Pashinyan states that 71 properties belonging to the Ministry of Defense have been transferred to the State Property Management Committee for future sale. Here is the address of the 71 military units, including 'Stalichni Polkun'," Manukyan declared during the press conference while showing the evidence.
He asked, "What now, is it going to be announced that military units are being sold?" He emphasized, "No, these military units are inactive; they have been a burden for the Ministry of Defense, which is why they have been put up for sale." The opposition lawmaker described the ongoing process surrounding Seyran Ohanyan as a show. "This is to distract public attention," he said.
According to Manukyan, in the coming years, another prosecutor will come and hold Suren Papikyan and Nikol Pashinyan accountable for the sale of 'Stalichni Polkun'. "That is unfair, but God forbid such cheap shows burden the work of the government in Armenia in the future," Manukyan noted.
He believes that the government will not proceed with the arrest of Seyran Ohanyan. "I think they won’t go that far," Manukyan added.
Tigran Abrahamyan, the secretary of the "I Have Honor" parliamentary group, also commented on the criminal prosecution being initiated against Ohanyan, stating that those who transferred 71 military units are launching a case against Ohanyan for transferring just 1 unit. More details are in the video.
