VIDEO: Horrific Fires in Chile Approaching Residents' Homes

As previously reported, forest fires in Chile are spreading to new areas. According to El Periodico, citing local authorities, 26 people have lost their lives due to the fires.

The forest fires have been caused by extreme heat of 40 degrees Celsius and prolonged drought. The newspaper notes that the fires have destroyed nearly 280,000 hectares of forests. It has been reported that around 600 people have been affected, with 16 in serious condition.
