Video: Fire Tornado Observed in Chile

A fire tornado has been observed in Chile, reports Lenta.ru. Since December, the country has been engulfed in forest fires, and the situation has worsened as the blaze has reached residential buildings.

In the central region of Chile, forest fires have covered more than 700 hectares of land. According to the latest data, 177 fires are currently raging in the country, with the largest recorded in the Araucania, Ñuble, Los Lagos, and O'Higgins regions. The total number of casualties is currently unknown.

The National Emergency Office of Chile has declared a state of emergency due to the forest fires. The cause of the fires in Chile is attributed to extreme drought.
