Russia's Foreign Ministry Delivers Protest Note to the U.S. Embassy
The Russian Foreign Ministry has delivered a protest note to the U.S. Embassy. The ministry demanded an end to interference in Russia's internal affairs and the "fierce anti-Russian propaganda," Russian media report.
According to the communication, the new U.S. ambassador in Moscow, Lynn Tracy, was given a "strong message about the necessity to strictly adhere to Russian laws and cease activities that contradict the requirements of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations of the Russian authorities."
The Russian Foreign Ministry emphasized that despite multiple warnings, "the U.S. diplomatic mission continues its malicious activities in the information space, allowing itself inappropriate statements regarding the leadership of the host country, as well as spreading false information about the Russian Armed Forces, which is a criminal and punishable act."
"The Russian side is not going to tolerate the repeated fierce anti-Russian propaganda from the information resources of the U.S. Embassy and intends to use all available means to neutralize it," the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.
