Armenia Sends Rescue Teams to Syria and Turkey: Armenian Foreign Ministry

Today, the Republic of Armenia, by the decision of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, is sending rescue teams to Syria and Turkey to assist in search and rescue operations in the areas affected by the devastating earthquake. This was reported by Vahan Hunanyan, the spokesperson for the Armenian Foreign Ministry, on his Facebook page.

Earlier, one of the news outlets reported that the government had already approved the decision regarding the visit of representatives from the Ministry of Internal Affairs' rescue service to Turkey. Auroranews attempted to verify this information with the press office of the Armenian government. The head of the office, Armen Khachatryan, stated that the information should be confirmed by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. However, our calls to the press secretary of the Ministry, Hayk Kostanyan, went unanswered.
