Never Think That Your Work Goes Unnoticed: President of Artsakh Calls for Consultation

The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Arayik Harutyunyan, convened a working consultation on February 6 with the leadership of the law enforcement system. The meeting addressed the issues facing the Republic's law enforcement agencies and the measures aimed at overcoming them.

In his speech, the country’s leader referred to the activities of law enforcement bodies after the 44-day war in 2020, emphasizing that thanks to their professional work, it has been possible to restore the country's internal life to its normal course in a short period. The president expressed gratitude to all representatives of the system for carrying out their official duties with high responsibility and for unconditionally adhering to the constitutional principle of the rule of law.

“Never think that your work goes unnoticed; both the people and the state appreciate it,” said Arayik Harutyunyan.

Addressing the efforts being made to ensure stability and security in the Republic, the president highlighted that there is still much to be done—from raising the level of discipline in public life to fighting crime.

“I accept that many problems are merely artificial and are often due to my silence. But I assure you, in numerous matters and situations, the silence of the highest state authority is not inaction, but a necessity. Ultimately, we must fully understand the situation we are living in and realize that often not everything can be made public,” the president noted.

During the meeting, President Harutyunyan set a series of tasks for the law enforcement system based on complaints and concerns received from the public:

  1. Increase efforts to elevate the level of legal security and law enforcement in Artsakh and improve the state of public safety in communal areas;
  2. Take all measures within the scope of their authority to prevent actions and steps that incite internal division and hostility, utilizing the objective concerns and grievances of the people, and provide legal assessments to their criminal manifestations.

Among those present at the consultation were Secretary of the Security Council Samuel Shahramanyan, Head of the Presidential Administration Karen Shahramanyan, and other officials.
