What is the Situation on the Roads of the Republic?

The Rescue Service reports that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads within the territory of Armenia. The roads leading from the high mountainous meteorological station 'Amberd' in the Aragatsotn province to Amberd Fortress and Lake Kari are closed.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for heavy vehicles and is difficult to navigate for other types of transport. In the Ashtarak and Aparan regions, ice is present in some parts. Snowfall is occurring in the Shirak, Armavir, Aragatsotn, Ararat (except for Artashat city), Kotayk, and Vayots Dzor provinces.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs' Emergency Service and the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations' North Ossetia Crisis Management Center, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for heavy vehicles. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
