VIDEO: Canada Sends First Leopard Tank to Ukraine

The first Leopard 2 tank is already en route to Ukraine. The tank has been sent by Canada. The footage was released by Canada’s Minister of Defence Anita Anand. She added that Ottawa will continue to provide Kyiv with "essential equipment."

It’s worth noting that Germany’s official representative, Steffen Hebestreit, announced on February 3 that the government had approved the dispatch of Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine, but declined to provide details on the number of tanks. Earlier, Sueddeutsche Zeitung, citing sources within government circles, reported that Berlin planned to send 88 Leopard 1 and 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine, and also allowed other countries to re-export these vehicles.
