Snow and Blizzard in the Republic: Situation Update as of 12 PM

The Emergency Service reports that as of 12 PM, there are closed and difficult roads in the territory of Armenia. The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd Fortress and to Kari Lake are closed.

The Vardenyats pass is closed for trucks with trailers and difficult to traverse for other types of vehicles.

There is black ice in some areas of the roads in the Aragatsotn region.

Snowfall is occurring in the regions of Shirak, Aragatsotn, Kotayk, Vayots Dzor, as well as in the towns of Sevan, Kapan, Ejmiadzin, Masis, and along the Vardenyats pass.

In the village of Lanjik in Shirak province, there is a blizzard.

As for the Lars, the Stepantsminda-Lars road has been opened for all types of vehicles.
