EU Soldiers Deployed to Ukraine Much Earlier, Zakharova Responds to Borrell

EU military personnel were deployed to Ukraine well before 2022, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, commenting on the statements made by Josep Borrell, the head of the EU’s foreign policy service.

Earlier, Borrell had asserted that EU countries were never prepared and do not plan to send their troops to participate in the conflict in Ukraine.

“Military personnel from EU member states were sent to Ukraine much earlier. This includes both instructors and special forces, as well as mercenaries,” Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.

She highlighted that the deployment of military personnel began well before 2022.
