French Designer Paco Rabanne Has Died

French fashion designer Paco Rabanne has died at the age of 88.

Rabanne was born in the Basque Country of Spain, in Pasajes, and his family moved to France when he was five years old. In Paris, he began collaborating with fashion houses such as Givenchy, Balenciaga, and Dior, releasing his first collection in 1963. He was noted for using unconventional materials such as paper, plastic, and aluminum in his designs, which caught the attention of the international press.

The Paco Rabanne brand is also well-known for its perfumes, including the popular fragrance “1 Million.”
