Armenian Foreign Ministry on Entry of Citizens to Georgia and UAE
The Armenian Foreign Ministry has provided clarifications regarding the entry of Armenian citizens into Georgia with identification (ID) cards and the ability to visit the United Arab Emirates without a visa.
"On January 12, 2022, an agreement was signed on mutual visa-free travel for the citizens of the Republic of Armenia and Georgia. Once in effect, Armenian citizens will be able to visit Georgia using ID cards. This agreement will enter into force after ratification by both countries, which the Armenian Foreign Ministry will officially announce.
During a meeting held on January 26, the Armenian government approved a proposal to sign a protocol on amendments to the memorandum of understanding between the Government of the Republic of Armenia and the Government of the United Arab Emirates, exempting holders of diplomatic passports from the visa requirement. Following the entry into force of this protocol, Armenian citizens will be able to visit the United Arab Emirates without a visa. The proposed changes will come into effect after signing and ratification by both countries, which will be officially communicated by the Armenian Foreign Ministry."
