The Hague Court Has Adjourned to Deliberate on Armenia vs. Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan vs. Armenia Cases

The International Court of Justice has adjourned to consult on its decisions regarding the cases of Armenia against Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan against Armenia.

Recall that hearings for both cases took place on January 30-31 at the International Court of Justice. Both parties presented their requests for the application of provisional measures.

It should be noted that Armenia requested the following provisional measures: Azerbaijan must cease the alleged organization and support of “protest actions” that obstruct unhindered free movement along the Lachin corridor in both directions. Additionally, Azerbaijan must ensure the unhindered free movement of all individuals, vehicles, and cargoes along the Lachin corridor in both directions. Furthermore, Azerbaijan must immediately fully restore and refrain from disrupting or obstructing the supply of natural gas and other utilities to Nagorno-Karabakh.

After making a decision, the Court will read it during a public session that will be streamed online. The Court will inform the parties about the date of the decision's reading. According to the Court, the decision must be adopted as quickly as possible.
