25-Day Gatherings Mandatory for Reservists, Citizens to Choose Timing

25-day gatherings will be mandatory for all reservists aged between 20 and 55, allowing citizens to choose when during the year they can allocate time.

“Citizens will undergo 7 days of training and then fulfill 14 days of combat duty. This is mandatory for all conscripted citizens of the Republic of Armenia,” said Defense Minister Suren Papikyan.

Earlier, it was announced that from March 1 to May 12, training gatherings for reservists in the first and second groups of the first category will be declared for privates, junior and senior officers. A total of up to 3,281 citizens will be involved in these gatherings, of which 2,897 are from the ranks of privates and junior officers, 152 from senior junior officers, and 232 from the officer corps, specializing in combined arms and artillery operations.
