«There is a more dangerous episode in this interview related to us» – Gayane Abrahamyan

This could really lead to serious problems: Former MP Gayane Abrahamyan addressed today’s interview of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on her Facebook page.

“I am amazed by your astonishment and outrage; we should have long escaped from the stupor of self-deception by relying on a partner. Lavrov has not taken on Aliyev’s advocacy for the first time; he is simply putting in additional effort and energy for it now. However, there is a more dangerous episode in this interview related to us that seems to have gone unnoticed: the diplomatic guru is confusing and equating the September assault against the sovereign territory of Armenia with the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, finding absurd and false justifications for the inaction of the CSTO. This trend is truly dangerous, and there must be appropriate counteractions through various channels; this could indeed lead to serious problems,” noted Abrahamyan.

It is worth recalling that Lavrov stated that Armenia had occupied 7 regions of Azerbaijan for decades.
