European Court Removes 'Ararat Khandoian vs. Armenia' Case from Docket
The European Court has removed the case 'Ararat Khandoian vs. Armenia' from its docket. This was confirmed by lawyer Ara Gharaigozian in a conversation with Armenia Today.
“The parties are reconciling with each other, and the state is providing compensation,” said the lawyer, adding that the state has not literally accepted that a violation of the citizen's rights occurred.
It is noteworthy that Ararat Khandoian, who was detained during the seizure of the police patrol service regiment, had filed a complaint with the European Court against a court ruling.
“As a result of my appeal to the European Court of Human Rights, Ararat Khandoian will receive €4,150 from Armenia as compensation for the violation of his personal and inviolability rights under the requirements of Article 5, part 3 of the Convention,” the lawyer stated on his Facebook page days ago.
