Video: ‘My son has not been allowed to participate in the championship.’ Hakobkoyan’s protest in the ring

Boxing coach and Honored Master of Sports Israel Hakobkoyan has mounted the ring ahead of the start of the Armenian boxing championship to stage a protest. Security personnel urge him to come down so the matches can begin, but Hakobkoyan refuses, stating that his son, Harutyun Hakobkoyan, has not been permitted to participate in the championship.

He is convinced that the reason for this is his refusal to accept Nikol Pashinyan as the country’s leader and supreme commander.

“If they respected me, they would let my son participate in the championship. Allow me to carry out my protest. I have forged my biography in the ring, and this is where I must hold my protest. My son isn’t taken to training camps, he’s not invited to competitions. I am sending my son to competitions with my own resources so that he can achieve sports growth,” Hakobkoyan said.
