False Documents Submitted for State Support Program Under the Pretext of Establishing Intensive Orchards

Citizens benefiting from the state support program under the pretext of establishing intensive orchards have submitted false documents to the Ministry of Economy, according to the Prosecutor General's Office.

Specifically, investigations of three different cases have uncovered evidence of document forgery by individuals V.G., A.H., S.Q., and G.Z., as well as the creation of contracts and acceptance acts containing false information, and the submission of fraudulent documents to the Ministry of Economy. Due to the negligent or careless attitude of the relevant officials from the ministry towards the performance of their duties, the submission of documents and information that did not correspond to reality by the beneficiaries led to significant property damage to the state.

As a result, V.G. embezzled 57,780,000 AMD, A.H. took 16,192,940 AMD, while S.Q. and G.Z. together took 58,500,000 AMD.

The State Interests Protection Department of the Prosecutor General's Office has filed reports on the crime to the Investigative Committee. Criminal proceedings have been initiated at the Investigative Committee under Article 315, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia (failure to perform or improper performance of official duties by a public servant due to negligence leading to serious consequences), Article 325, Part 1 (forgery of documents that grant rights or exempt from liability, as well as using obviously forged documents), and Article 178, Part 3, Clause 1 (embezzlement of someone else's property through fraud in especially large amounts).
