Kazakhstan Refuses to Sell Cars to Russians
In Kazakhstan, Russians have been denied the ability to purchase cars, reports Arbat.media. A correspondent from Autonews.ru who attempted to buy a vehicle confirmed that he approached various dealerships (Hyundai, Toyota, Chery, LADA, and Volkswagen), but none of them sold a car to him. The managers were unable to state the reasons for the refusals.
It has been reported that individuals with Russian passports have an alternative option to purchase a vehicle by visiting a dealership with a contact who holds a Kazakh passport.
Anton Shaparin, a representative of the National Association of Motorists (GAA), mentioned that the company has "political concerns," which is why Russians may face refusals. The expert added that companies might halt the supply of models to retail points, deciding that sellers could help circumvent the sanctions imposed against the Russian Federation.
