Artak Tovmasyan Plans to Open a Large Casino at the Dvin Hotel

According to the newspaper "Hraparak," there are reports that Artak Tovmasyan, the businessman and owner of the Seven Visions Hotels, is preparing to open a large casino at the Dvin Hotel. It is known that under a law enacted during the previous administration, establishing casinos in Yerevan is prohibited, except in cases where an investment of $100 million is made; the Dvin Hotel meets that criterion.

“There is no decision yet, but there have been various discussions about this over the last 10 years,” the press office of the Tovmasyan Foundation informed us, not denying this information. Furthermore, our sources indicate that the businessman has accumulated significant debts and hopes to repay them after the casino opens. Additionally, the hotel section of the Dvin has recently been officially put into operation.”
