Traveling to the Emirates Will Be Easier: New Decision by the Armenian Government

From now on, citizens of Armenia will be able to travel to the UAE without a visa. The Armenian government approved a proposal during today’s meeting to sign an agreement eliminating the visa requirement for citizens of Armenia and the UAE.

The process of visa liberalization with the Emirates had initially begun in 2017. The Armenian government had previously approved on January 19, 2017, the proposal for signing an agreement to remove the visa requirement, but the process subsequently came to a halt.

Now, the process has resumed, and the signing of the Protocol on amending the June 21, 2009 memorandum on exemptions from visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports between the governments of Armenia and the United Arab Emirates will ensure the unhindered entry of Armenian citizens into the UAE, primarily stimulating an increase in tourist flow.

The removal of the visa requirement will create a strong foundation for revitalizing business and economic ties, which in turn will contribute to the expansion of investment and economic cooperation. The signing of the protocol on amending the aforementioned memorandum will boost interpersonal communication and intercultural connections, fostering cultural dialogue between the two nations.
