Soldiers Injured in Defense of the Homeland Recognized as Third Degree Disabled Will Not Be Deprived of Compensation
According to Armenpress, soldiers injured while defending the homeland and later recognized as third degree disabled will not be deprived of compensation.
The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs proposes to establish interim compensation amounts ranging from 25,000 to 75,000 drams. Current legislation considers as beneficiaries of the "Insurance Fund for Servicemen" those soldiers who have been assigned first and second degree disabilities, while individuals with third degree disabilities cease to receive compensation. This provision of the law has led to dissatisfaction among beneficiaries.
