Video: Jockey Falls Off, Yet Horse Wins Race Alone in Japan
A horse competing in a race in Japan has won while running without its jockey. According to media reports, the jockey lost balance and fell off at the beginning of the race. Typically, in such incidents, the horse would exit the course and leave the track alone; however, this time the animal continued to run, overtaking other competitors.
As a result, the jockey-less horse crossed the finish line first, but the judges annulled the outcome and disqualified it. According to competition rules, the jockey must remain on the saddle until the race concludes. However, social media users disagree with this decision and believe the horse deserves a medal.
