Turkey May Exit NATO Within Five to Six Months
Turkey's Vice President of the Homeland Party, Ethem Sancak, has announced that Turkey may exit the North Atlantic Alliance within five to six months. This was reported by the Aydınlık newspaper.
“NATO is compelling us to do this with its provocations. By trying to push us against our neighbor Greece, as well as pulling us into the turmoil of the Middle East. Finally, you see actions against the Quran in Sweden and the Netherlands,” Sancak stated.
He also noted that recent polls have shown that at least 80% of the Turkish population believes that the U.S. is the country pursuing a hostile and destructive policy against the republic.
“Recently, the Turkish people have begun to sympathize with Russia and Putin,” the politician concluded.
