Armenia is the Second Country Exporting Cars from Georgia
According to 2022 data, passenger cars rank second among the product groups exported from Georgia, while they are first among the imported goods, reports Aliq.ge, citing BusinessPressNews.
In 2022, vehicles worth $903.8 million were sold in Georgia, and $1.6 billion worth of vehicles were imported into the country. In comparison, $935.4 million worth of vehicles were imported in 2021.
Compared to 2021, vehicle exports increased by 98% in 2022, while imports rose by 73.1%.
In 2022, the majority of cars were exported from Georgia to the following countries: Azerbaijan - $308.4 million, Armenia - $144.7 million, Ukraine - $119.8 million, Kazakhstan - $104.4 million, and Russia - $75.6 million.
According to the website's data, Georgia itself imported vehicles from the United States, Japan, Germany, Turkey, and South Korea.
