Citizens Block North-South Highway: Several Detained
Today, citizens in the village of Proshyan, Kotayk Province, blocked the North-South highway. Residents gathered in front of the former Ministry of Defense building, demanding an explanation for why the Yegvard electrical grid has ceased power supply to the former ministry's building.
The blockage has completely paralyzed traffic in the area, leading to scuffles with police. According to the press service of the Police of Armenia, the road is now open. Three individuals have been brought to the police station for actions specified under Article 182 of the Administrative Violations Code.
It is noteworthy that in the former ministry building, located in the Proshyan village of the Nairi community, compatriots from Artsakh have taken refuge after losing their homes due to the war. By government decision, that building had been allocated to the State Revenue Committee.
