If the Conflict Is Prolonged, a New Military Alliance May Form – Medvedev
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, has stated that if the conflict in Ukraine continues to drag on, a new alliance may form among the countries that the U.S. has 'wearied.'
He made this announcement on his Telegram channel. 'The meeting in Rammstein and the allocation of heavy weaponry to Kyiv leave no doubt that our enemies will try to exhaust us for an extended period, or rather, to destroy us. And they have enough weapons. If necessary, they will start producing new ones. Therefore, we should not fall into illusions. What conclusions can be drawn from this? Firstly, it will be very difficult. Secondly, if the conflict drags on, at some point, a new military alliance will form among those countries that are weary of American influence... This has always been the case in human history during prolonged wars. And at that time, the United States will ultimately 'abandon' the aging Europe and the remnants of unfortunate Ukrainians, while the world will return to a state of balance. Unless, of course, it is too late,' wrote Medvedev.
