VIDEO: It Was Not a Shack, But a Well-Maintained, Fully Equipped House - Simonyan on the Burned Shelter
The Republic of Armenia has no financial issues in spending on the army, and since 2018, there has not been a single case where purchases were not made due to financial reasons, stated Parliament Speaker Alen Simonyan during a conversation with journalists, responding to questions about reforms in the army.
Referring to the tragedy that occurred in Azat village, Simonyan said there were security issues there. "For example, the grating should not have been there. Those responsible for security will be punished. As for political responsibility, the political leadership has done everything on its part and will continue to do so. I assure you, if these changes had not taken place, such incidents could have occurred much more often. However, I consider it inappropriate to turn this unfortunate incident into a topic for political exploitation and to try to insert it into the political agenda," Simonyan said.
