Finland Freezes Nearly 200 Million Euros of Russian Assets
Finland has frozen Russian assets amounting to 187 million euros as part of sanctions, according to Yle.
According to Pia Saarivaara, head of the Sanctions Division at the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, this includes real estate, shares, vehicles, yachts, aircraft, and other valuable property.
In September 2022, it was reported that Finnish authorities had confiscated the property of Russian citizens amounting to 189 million euros. Restrictions have been imposed on the assets of individuals and organizations included in the European Union (EU) sanctions list. In total, around 200 decisions have been made to impose temporary or permanent prohibitions on property.
