The Conflict Between Ukraine and the West is a New Patriotic War, Medvedev Says

The Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitry Medvedev, has described the conflict between Russia, Ukraine, and the West as a new Patriotic War. He highlighted that Russia will emerge victorious, just as it did in 1812 and 1945.

In one of his speeches, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, stated that "Russia is accustomed to fighting to the end," mentioning its victories over Napoleon and Hitler, while calling for military aid to Ukraine.

“Long live Borrell! He reminded us that our country defeated Napoleon and Hitler. It should be noted that he made the analogy himself. Accordingly, the Ukrainazists and Western Europe are the direct heirs of those who fought against Russia. Thus, the war with them is, therefore, a new Patriotic War. And the victory will be ours, just as it was in 1812 and 1945,” Medvedev wrote on his Telegram channel.
