VIDEO: The Parcel Will Never Arrive. Hayk Kirakosyan Didn't Get to Receive His Brother's Surprise

On January 28, the soldiers stationed in the village of Azat in the Gegharkunik region were expecting a surprise. They were to receive a parcel filled with letters and candies from the 6th-grade students of Martuni No. 1 Secondary School.

“Since one of the boys in the class had an older brother, Hayk Kirakosyan, who was currently in service, we decided to send the parcel directly to that military unit. I called the mother to confirm the details; she was emotional and thanked us for the attention. And Hayrapet (Hayk Kirakosyan's brother) asked every day whether it would arrive before the holiday,” Asriyan told Sputnik Armenia.

The 19-year-old Hayk was the pillar and protector of his younger sister and brother, a role model for them. Hayk had not yet turned 20, and he was supposed to return home in the summer.
