Video of Fire at Soldiers' Deployment Location

A video has surfaced online showing the fire that occurred at the soldiers' deployment location in the village of Azat.

It is reported that the horrific fire resulted in 15 fatalities and 3 injuries.

Earlier, the Chief Military Prosecutor of Armenia stated: “Captain, being in the facility and serving as the responsible officer of the day, went out around 1:30 AM to stoke the fire in the premises. He poured gasoline from a 5-liter plastic container into the stove. During this process, a fire broke out, and he was caught in the flames; his uniform stuck to him. He threw the container away in a panic, and the fire spread rapidly. He attempted to alert and shout to evacuate the soldiers, but the fire spread too quickly, blocking the entrance, leaving the soldiers without an escape route.”

According to the military prosecutor, the captain is alive and is currently in the intensive care unit: “His condition is assessed as extremely serious; he is conscious but has limited possibility of making contact, with multiple injuries to the facial area and other parts of the body, and communication is restricted.”
