US Sees No Sense in Supplying Ukraine with Abrams Tanks

The US has not seen any justification for supplying Ukraine with Abrams tanks. Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh stated that the reason for this is the difficulty of maintaining them. This was reported by Gоворит Москва.

"The high cost of maintaining Abrams tanks simply makes it pointless to provide them to Ukraine at this time," she said during a press briefing.

Additionally, the Pentagon's Deputy Press Secretary commented on Western media reports that Germany would be ready to allow the supply of Leopard tanks if the US transferred Abrams to Ukraine. Sabrina Singh noted that the decision on military assistance to Kyiv is made by Berlin itself. "We have provided the Bradley BMP. We see that other countries are increasing their military assistance and supply of equipment. But ultimately, this is Germany's sovereign decision," she concluded.
