Sweden's Ambassador Summoned Again by Turkey's Foreign Ministry

On Friday, Sweden's ambassador was summoned to Turkey's Foreign Ministry in Ankara regarding a protest by supporters of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) held in Stockholm on January 21, which Ankara regards as a terrorist organization. This was reported by a source from Turkey's Foreign Ministry to TASS.

“It was noted that PKK-related groups have announced another demonstration in downtown Stockholm tomorrow, and allowing the propaganda activities of terrorist organizations and their supporters is a clear violation of the trilateral agreement (between Turkey, Sweden, and Finland),” the source stated.

He also asserted that on January 21, it was permitted to “burn the Quran near the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.” “The ambassador was emphasized that we strongly condemn this provocative action, which is evidently a crime motivated by hate, and such behavior from Sweden is unacceptable,” he added.
