It’s 10 Degrees in Artsakh Homes: Ani Kaghinyan

Civil activist Ani Kaghinyan shared a photo on her Facebook page, stating: "It’s 10 degrees in the homes of Artsakh. And in those homes, there are small children, elderly people, pregnant women, and sick individuals."

Recall that on the morning of December 12, a group of Azerbaijanis in civilian clothing closed the Stepanakert-Goris highway linking Artsakh to Armenia, citing environmental reasons. On December 13, the Azerbaijani side also cut off gas supplies to Artsakh. Gas supplies resumed on the morning of December 16. However, gas supplies were interrupted again and resumed a few hours later on January 17. Since January 9, energy supply from Armenia to Artsakh has also been cut off from areas under Azerbaijani control. The Azerbaijani side does not allow specialists to approach and understand the reasons behind the issues, which are critical for necessary emergency recovery work. In Artsakh, electricity supply is being conducted with rolling blackouts.

The Lachin corridor remains closed.
