What Aliyev and Garibashvili Discussed in Davos
During a panel discussion at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili addressed issues of stability and security in the South Caucasus. In response to a relevant question, the Prime Minister referred to Georgia's mediating role in the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, emphasizing their impartiality and neutrality in this matter.
Prior to the Prime Minister's speech, the Azerbaijani leader leveled accusations against Armenia. In response to a question about the Armenian-Azerbaijani normalization process, Aliyev declared that the process remains stalled. He pointed out that Armenia has not responded to Azerbaijan's proposals regarding a peace agreement.
Regarding Armenia's absence at the Davos forum, Aliyev linked this fact to Yerevan's refusal to participate in a trilateral meeting involving Georgia.
