Vitaly Balasanyan to be Appointed to a Position
According to the newspaper "Hraparak", President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan has managed to convince Vitaly Balasanyan, and in the coming days, he is likely to be appointed as a military advisor and will continue negotiations with the Azerbaijanis, a role he previously held while serving as the Secretary of the Security Council.
It is noteworthy that the issue of Balasanyan's dismissal was raised by Ruben Vardanyan, who argued that he cannot defend Artsakh's interests, as he is inclined to meet Azerbaijan's demands as a negotiator. Furthermore, Vardanyan believes that there is no topic of negotiation with Azerbaijan at all, as this can only happen on rare occasions, since Azerbaijan's goal is not to negotiate but to achieve complete control over Artsakh through negotiations.
By bringing Vitaly back into the arena, Arayik Harutyunyan is addressing several issues: he aims to show the Azerbaijanis that he is not opposed to negotiations, while also demonstrating to Nikol Pashinyan that Ruben Vardanyan is not the decision-maker, and despite Vardanyan's wishes, he is reinstating Balasanyan to his position.
