Honor Bound and Armenia Alliances Release Statement on Tragic Incident

The "Honor Bound" and "Armenia" factions of the National Assembly of Armenia have issued a statement regarding the tragedy that occurred at the N military unit's engineering reconnaissance battalion barracks.

The "Honor Bound" faction's statement reads: "The tragedy at the N military unit's engineering reconnaissance battalion barracks is a consequence of the collapse of the state governance system, the chaotic state of the Armed Forces, and the criminal indifference shown by the military-political leadership towards the army. This current government of Armenia brings only death and disaster to our people, and unfortunately, in the conditions of a decimated army, such tragedies have become unavoidable in our reality. The "Honor Bound" faction of the National Assembly expresses its condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the 15 fallen servicemen, and wishes a speedy recovery to the injured servicemen."

The "Armenia" faction's statement further notes: "The Armed Forces of Armenia have recorded another extraordinary disaster, resulting in the death of 15 servicemen due to fire, with additional injuries reported. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims, their loved ones, and our people. We wish a swift recovery to the injured servicemen. At the same time, we lament that this tragic event again proves the absence of political responsibility on the part of the authorities and validates the reality of the alarms raised, highlighting the disgraceful state of the conditions of our military units, including their location, accommodation, and service organization, as well as the deficiencies in the infrastructure and engineering of various frontline sectors."
